LMAT Limited
LMAT improves composite products by eradicating manufacturing defects and lowering risk associated with complex processing. We work closely with the aerospace, wind energy and automotive industries, improving composite production methods and overall product quality. Numerical simulations of curing processes allow for reduction of process development costs and increase product quality. For parts with relatively simple geometry, process-related deformations are usually well estimated using the trial-and-error method. For complex shaped composite parts, however, sophisticated models are required which capture the interactions between the various geometric features. The aim is to predict the tool geometry required to consistently produce structures of high-quality within tight dimensional tolerances. The Advanced Composite Cure Simulation (ACCS) software platform developed by LMAT offers a solution here.
